With the development of economy, the cost of human defense is too high, and the limitation of human ability and energy cannot provide effective evidence, etc., which greatly reduces the safety precaution. It is for this reason that the security monitoring system in the new era has been developed. Such technology and equipment are a warning and deterrent to some criminals, and in the collection of actual evidence materials, they are presented to people as a direct information.

Current Situation: The security industry is currently navigating a transitional phase from analog to network-based solutions. In the short term, businesses will continue to rely heavily on analog HD technologies for their products, systems, and operations. However, it is evident that the momentum towards network development is increasing rapidly, presenting significant opportunities for companies to enhance their offerings and operational efficiencies.

Trend: As the smart city initiative advances and the adoption of big data and cloud computing technologies continues to rise, the security industry will likely experience a paradigm shift. This evolution will lead to a growing demand for high-definition, networked, intelligent solutions, as well as integrated management platforms that can handle large-scale data operations. Organizations that capitalize on these trends will position themselves strategically in an increasingly competitive market, driving innovation and improving service delivery.

Three elements of video quality

Three elements (video quality)

Bit rate refers to the number of bits transmitted per second. The unit is bps (BitPerSecond). The higher the bit rate, the larger the data transmitted. The bit rate indicates how many bits are needed per second to represent the audio and video data after encoding (compression), and a bit is the smallest unit in binary, either 0 or 1. The relationship between bit rate and audio and video compression is that the higher the bit rate, the better the quality of the audio and video, but the larger the encoded file; if the bit rate is lower, the situation is just the opposite.

Bit rate size × number of cameras = minimum network bandwidth size;

Data rate refers to the data flow used by a video file per unit time, also known as bit rate, which is the most important part of picture quality control in video encoding. Under the same resolution, the larger the video file's data rate, the smaller the compression ratio and the higher the picture quality.

Uplink bandwidth is the bandwidth for uploading information from the local computer to the network. Uplink rate refers to the data transmission rate when the user's computer sends information to the network.
Downlink bandwidth is the bandwidth for downloading information from the network. Downlink rate refers to the data transmission rate when the user's computer downloads information from the network.

Note: The bandwidth of the monitoring point is the minimum bandwidth required for uplink (the monitoring point uploads the video information to the monitoring center); the bandwidth of the monitoring center is the minimum bandwidth required for downlink (download the video information of the monitoring point to the monitoring center); Example: Telecom 2Mbps ADSL broadband, the theoretical uplink bandwidth of a 50-meter infrared camera is 512kbps=64kb/s, and its downlink bandwidth is 2Mbps=256kb/s

Common Problems

1. No image output

1) Check whether the power supply is connected properly and the power supply voltage is sufficient.

2) Check whether the BNC connector or video cable has poor contact.

3) Is the lens aperture open?

4) Is the video or DC-driven automatic aperture lens control line connected correctly?

5) Check whether the monitoring display device and the camera itself have any faults.

2. Poor image quality

1) Is there a fingerprint on the lens or it is too dirty?

2) Is the aperture adjusted properly?

3) Is the video cable in poor contact?

4) Is there a problem with the electronic shutter or white balance setting?

5) Is the transmission distance too far?

6) Is the power supply voltage normal?

7) Is there any interference source nearby? (Strong magnetic field, strong electric field, etc.)

8) When installing in an elevator, ensure insulation from the elevator to prevent interference.
